Raising regular users' search tag limit to 3

This is probably a pretty spiky topic, but what would the downsides to doing this be?
I personally think that 2 is a bit too restricting, and i usually hear of people not using Danbooru because of this huge limit.
The usual argument i hear about this is that it acts as "incentive" to purchase Gold and Platinum. Assuming that is true, if the limit was raised then it would mean that less people would be pressured to buy Gold. On the other hand though, more people would probably use Danbooru, which would logically bring more income.

If the argument gets too heated feel free to lock this thread down, this isn't supposed to be a provoking question, just a suggestion for a quality of life improvement to new users.

I absolutely agree. 2 tags is too few to find what you want even if it's just a simple thing. In other imageboards like gelbooru you can search by as many tags as you want (yes they use ads but they are not so annoying as fact that you restricted to 2 tags per query)

as a member, i think 2 tag limit is (most of the time) already enough for any kind of search i want (as long most of combination tag stays).

the real reason that i didn't really want this is that if there are less people buying gold/plat, Danbooru will enforce ads to pay for stuff instead, which scares contributors away. making "member" a cozy role also means that less people will want to try to contribute to get builders which offers platinum-like perks but more.

Biased opinion: I use Dan most of the time to look for translated comics, not single solo images, which i think Gelbooru doesn't provide, so having ads and scares translator and contributors is a huge minus.
