*_costume -> *_outfit or *_clothes?

Before making a BUR i wanted to gather others' opinions on whether this would actually help or not.
I have always found the "costume" in adapted costume and adjacent tags meaning "outfit character wouldn't usually wear", something you would wear in a convention or something.
"Outfit" has a more neutral meaning, and in my opinion rolls off the tongue better. Alternatively there would also be "Clothes".

One caveat i can already see is that it would break the consistency with tags like reindeer costume, and reindeer outfit or reindeer clothes doesn't sound right.

Alternate costume has always sounded fine to me. Most likely because a lot of anime outfits would be considered costumes by any real world practical definition, so using "costume" never sounded particularly jarring or off. I could go either way on a change to *outfit. Clothes, on the other hand...I dunno, "adapted clothes" just sounds kinda wack.

Same opinion as Cattywampus. Costume currently sounds okay; wouldn't mind outfit too much; but clothes... sounds strange when combined with some words like reindeer_ and adapted_.

Bringing up the last time this topic #17206 was brought up, and pointing out how at the time, I had found that *_costume had around 150 tags, compared to *_outfit's about 20-ish, and *_attire's 2.

I hadn't checked *_clothes at the time, but I do agree that using it would be rather awkward.
