Cracked Lens -> Glass

According to its wiki, that's what broken glass is for.

Yet the wiki for broken states Images where an object has ceased to fulfill its designed purpose or task. If the object can still fulfill its purpose, use damaged.

Now broken glass doesn't implicate broken (yet) but I feel like the naming versus usage should be consistent, there is also a big difference between a smashed window and one with merely a crack in it.

I agree. The line claiming it usually refers to something still in one piece was added seemingly at random by a user, and strongly contradicts the idea of something being shattered into many pieces.

BUR #6037 has been approved by @evazion.

create alias cracked_lens -> cracked_glass

Unless there are glass-less lenses I think this is better because it can be used for things like windows and cups made of glass as well, I had even forgotten this tag existed and just simple tagged it crack.

Well a decent chunk of gla... spectacles' lenses are probably made out of plastic.

I wouldn't tag those broken_glass because I can't be sure, though I wouldn't really mind if those get auto-implicated/aliased.

There are also metal lenses, but those aren't likely to come up. Crystal ones... probably more likely. But don't think we have significant examples anyhow.

That said, broken glass can also be used for the latter purpose, as blindVirgil mentions.
