Is it three versions instead of one then? I don't know much about the character but it was bugging me that she one counterpart was enough for an "(all)" tag in her case. Should we split bb_(swimsuit_mooncancer)_(fate) into three tags instead? And in this case maintain the "(all)" qualifier?
Well, right now it's for these costumes: post #4551137, post #4421075, post #4231622. Thanks to fate being the (moon)cancerous pile of problems that it usually is, all of these are under the same tag, making the character tag useless.
Still, I'm all for getting rid of (all) tags. We can always fix this character tag after that.
BUR #5632 has been approved by @evazion.
create alias bb_(fate)_(all) -> bb_(fate)
As above. Unless someone has a good idea on how to split the swimsuit mooncancer tags.

As for splitting the summer outfits, they should be split between ascension 1, 2, and 3. There was a talk about it before, but it didn't go anywhere.
This is what makes the most sense to me. The question I have though is if we would keep bb (swimsuit mooncancer) (fate) as an umbrella tag for the separate outfits.

We should imo.

+1 to this, especially since the ascensions are very discernable from each other.
The problem I first see with doing that is how long those tags would end up being:
BB (swimsuit mooncancer) (ascension 1) (fate))
Could it be just bb_(ascension 1) (fate)?
So the tag family could be like this:
The bulk update request #5632 (forum #186972) has been rejected by @nonamethanks.
BUR #5633 has been rejected.
create alias bb_(fate) -> bb_(fate/extra)
create alias bb_shot! -> char:bb_(bb_shot!)
Creating new character tags makes my previous request unsuitable, because otherwise you'd have to do a five or six tag search just to find the original one (bb (fate) -ascension_1 -ascension_2 -ascension_3 -bb_shot, etc), which is still a three tag search even if we use an ascension umbrella (which doesn't make much sense to me, they look nothing a like so might as well keep them separate).
See also evazion's forum #183428 for reference on how character hierarchies should be arranged. Having a tree of implications results in a mess where we end up with three or more character tags for a solo picture.
Also, it doesn't make any sense to have tags like bb shot! as general. It prevents us from searching with a simple bb (fate) (cosplay), and it's just confusing and looks terrible in the taglist when everything else is a character tag.
We got rid of the various (fate/extra) qualifiers a while ago but in this case I'm not sure there's a better qualifier for the original one, unfortunately.
Second part of the implication (can't do it all at once)
unalias bb_(fate) -> bb_(fate/extra)
alias bb_(fate)_(all) -> bb_(fate)
imply bb_(fate/extra) -> bb_(fate)

Then what about regular BB? If those are all character tags, then it necessitates a separate tag for her regular form, as the ascensions would imply swimsuit and swimsuit would imply BB (fate), making it difficult to find the default without a 5+ tag search. Plus, all servants have ascensions, how is anyone supposed to tell by the names alone that those are specifically for the summer variant?
Regarding bb shot!, is there any reason a bb_(fate) nurse search isn't just as good?

post #4497639, and the fact that we can't use cosplay tags properly with it. Plus, there's always the fact that these costume tags (dangerous_beast, emerald_float etc) make it really hard for people who don't play the game to even tag these characters properly.
Once again, forum #172656:
I'm not a Fate fan and I don't play Fate/Grand Order. The most confusing thing about Fate is that we don't have tags for each unique version of a character. I look at a tag like BB (Swimsuit Mooncancer) and I'm left utterly confused about why three totally different versions of BB - baseball cap BB, gyaru BB, and vampire cape BB - are all under the same tag. Then I see BB shot! and I'm wondering why the hell nurse BB is a general tag when her other outfits are character tags. Are there more versions of BB? I don't know, maybe there's some other general tag for some other outfit that I'm missing, or maybe there's some other ascension level that I don't know about. With tagging like this, I can't trust anything.

Shouldn't that just be tagged nurse? And I don't get the cosplay thing, it would just be bb (fate) (cosplay) wouldn't it? She wears that outfit in her NP, and it's just a generic sexy pink nurse outfit, if you could actually distinguish that someone else was specifically cosplaying as nurse BB, then it would just be bb (fate) (cosplay), unless I'm still just missing something.

I'm the one who doesn't understand why it should be a general tag when every other similar tag is a character tag.
