Unsure of what the difference between the two is. It seems that flying saucer is a subset of UFO, so is UFO without the flying saucer tag a space craft that isn't saucer shaped? I don't think any of those automatically tag each other

I still think the alias should be done.

Seems confusing. I agree with the guy who was saying that tagging an unknown goes against Danbooru's tagging rules, but UFO is what I (and probably most others) think to try for some sort of flying alien ship tag.
Is there any reason to not assume that all UFOs are space craft and all flying saucers are UFOs?
BUR #5552 has been rejected.
nuke ufo
create alias ufo -> space_craft
UFO is too ambiguous, space craft will cover for any non-disk-shaped alien vehicles that can't fit under flying saucer
UFO pretty much equals flying saucer nowadays. Aliasing it to the generic spacecraft tag makes no sense. Think of it from the point of view of a new user searching for it. Do you think they would want to see space shuttles and generic scifi spaceships when searching for ufos?

Personally, I agree, but I imagine some day an argument will restart about non-saucer-shaped UFOs being inaccurate under the "flying saucer" tag so I was aiming to avoid that. Also, the UFO -> flying_saucer alias was previously rejected
Updated
Please dont tag post #4541336 with space craft. There are hundreds of posts with "that" under the UFO tag. Would that qualify as flying saucer?
The bulk update request #5552 (forum #186269) has been rejected by @evazion.
It makes more sense to alias flying saucer to UFO and get rid of the flying saucer -> space craft implication.
As far as the "a flying saucer is just one type of UFO, there could be other types" argument, I don't think it actually matters. UFO is predominately flying saucers already, if you want flying saucers then UFO is the tag you have to search anyway.
