Twitter/pixiv parent/child superiority

Any reason why Twitter uploads now trump pixiv uploads as the parent?

I keep seeing this a lot lately.

Is the Pixiv version a duplicate? Is the Twitter version much larger in resolution?

I have been seeing pixiv uploads getting tagged with duplicate as well.

It just struck me as being quite odd since my mentality is pixiv = superior source.

For example:

post #4484667 (Twitter)

Same resolution, but the pixiv one is just slightly bigger in filesize.

If it gets tagged as duplicate and parented by nonamethanks, then it means they are identical and the only difference is in the metadata.

Pixiv isn't always the superior source, I believe. I know in the past I've seen some artists have twitter versions be much higher quality than their pixiv uploads In terms of duplicates, the one uploaded after is marked as so if it is one.
