I don't think it's necessary, I think the (medium) was only added to blender_(medium) to distinguish it from the object blender.
Everything listed on tag_group:drawing_software is qualified except for Paintschainer. I don't see why 3D software should be different.
As the wiki page notes, the purpose of the qualifiers is to distinguish cases when software was used to create an image from when the image depicts the software's interface (e.g. post #4080518.) People are more likely to want to search for the latter, though I imagine both are pretty niche.
Presumably for the latter purpose, if images to which the tags are applicable are ever uploaded, we should use the current source_filmmaker tag and, for Blender, something like blender_(software).
