Let me guess, bad perspective? Or is the art style not liked?

I'm not a mod, but bad perspective/shading would be my guess. it kinda makes it look like her face is a flat surface perpendicular with the "camera", especially since it doesn't have any shading but her hair and neck do.

*sigh* I'm going to give up on uploading things for a while because at this rate I'll run out of upload slots due to constant deletions and my profile will look bad because of it.

The latter two posts also include several children, for a grand total of 13 deletions.
I know they're not as detailed as the other posts by this artist, but is it really enough to justify deletion?

Actually, you shouldn’t be asking if the flaws are enough to justify deletion; you should be asking yourself “are the posts good enough to justify approval?” I don’t think they are: lack of details, no backgrounds, hands aren’t good either… There’s also nothing to make up for it, such as interesting poses, endearing character interactions, jokes, etc.

It amounts to the same thing, though. Deletion is the decision to not approve a post. One leads to the other.
And I mean, it's a personal perspective thing whether or not the poses are interesting. I think they're good enough for what the image is trying to achieve. And the middle post did get a lot of favorites.

I guess I just didn't know where the threshold for quality was.

The overall level of detail in these two is fairly low. There are no background elements (unless you count the saiyan effect), there's no shading in the hair/clothing, and the parent isn't colored. Although, the anatomy does look good. The basics are all here, but I think it fell short because there's nothing to stand out and grab someone's interest.

I'm just going to assume it's some quality related thing again that I know nothing about [...]

My advice is to skim a couple of pages in this thread. There's tons of information you can learn from respondees, many of which are approvers.

since clearly barely anything I ever post ever passes approval due to that, bias or otherwise.

Your deletion rate out of 12 uploads is 50%, I wouldn't call that "barely". Furthermore, your deletions aren't bad, but it's just the issue of what makes them good. Don't let this experience discourage you, you only get better at something by practicing it. And this thread will always be here if you have questions :)

It doesn't have shading, colour nor a background because I didn't want to pay too much to make this idea come to life. Besides, Kushi never tells me their full commission info, so I didn't want to risk it.

And I don't know about the advice. When something like post #4390776 gets removed when seemingly being fine, I can't trust anything I upload anymore.

And my deletion rate will only get higher with okay posts being given 0 chance. I refuse to make my profile look bad to others and scare them away with the countless deletions on record I'll eventually have. Hell, even that 1 negative feedback from ages ago is a bad look for me. Guess that's all I have to say.

You do realize you aren't limited to commissioner upload, right? There's thousands of images that are posted on sites like Twitter and Pixiv every day. It's where the bulk of Danbooru's content comes from.

P.S. You misunderstood what I meant when I said "I can't speak for post #4390776", although that's partly my fault. What I meant was "I don't think I can provide constructive criticism on this post", not "there's no criticism to be made here".

There's no point searching Twitter and Pixiv for an hour only to upload something that was uploaded already. It's not worth the risk, so I just settled for uploading commissions I paid for, along with posting other art from those artists.

Please reconsider: https://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/4409712

The fanart itself has clearly vision of shading, effects involved and goes into the concept known as quality (it even has more over 2k favorites on Twitter if that even matters). Also as known fact, the character legit looks like the character how she is suppose to be. Futhermore, it captures the exact positioning as the meme is, especially considering there are relatable uno meme drawings involved that have been approved with even a lesser quality (one for example is even a yugioh sketch, which has been approved, or some other drawings in the #uni (game) tag that are lower in quality compared to this fanart.) So I am not sure how that is even comparable to something has the ''correct'' colorization and shading into it and is anatomically correct? It is rather confusing, in all fairness.

Thanks in advance.

Tbh I didn't read what you wrote, but it's approved. You should consider writing less in this topic, because I do think that only a hand full of people would really read this. For the same reason the "appeal" function has a word limit.

Ah, apologies. >< I am still relatively new to the site, but I will take that into consideration for next time. Thank you!

Could you tell me why post #4416680 was not approved? I believe I have complied with all the established guidelines, but I would like to know what I did wrong.
Thanks in advance.

Keep in mind I'm not an approver, but her back seems a bit weird/unnatural to me. Also, explicit post may have a harder time getting approved since it's up to the discrestion and taste of the approvers. Not all of them like explicit posts.
