There's 2.7k pictures under handjob gloves that make this small tag redundant. I just noticed it because a single user started populating it today.

Are we just assuming that 100% of posts in handjob gloves are in fact someone wearing gloves while giving a handjob, and not someone with bare hands giving a handjob while someone else present is wearing gloves?

This is more of an issue with our tag system in general (it's the same situation with colored eyewear/legwear/etc tags for non-solo pics), even more so in this case, because if those posts exist they're going to be impossible to find for normal users in any case, as glovejob would have to be applied to 99.99% of the posts under handjob gloves, which won't happen unless someone adopts the tag forever.
As it stands it's just a redundant tag, because you would get more matching results searching for handjob gloves than for glovejob unless someone was constantly gardening the tag.

It seems rare but I quickly found one example of a handjob while wearing a glove on the other hand (post #1630051) and one giving a handjob to someone wearing gloves (post #4149339).

I initially thought the tag was about jerking someone off with the dick inside the glove, but that kinda has its own tag already: cum_in_glove.

As for false positives, as long as it doesn't overwhelm the intended results, it doesn't warrant a tag.

Edit: I just noticed both cum_in_glove and glovejob were started by the same person. Someone has a glove fetish.

That's also my issue. "Glovejob" sounds like a glove used to jerk off a penis, it's begging to be used wrongly.

Personally I would go ahead with nuking glovejob and then rename cum in glove -> glovejob. Cum in glove doesn't sound like it's being used as a handjob to me, just that there's cum inside a glove.

That sounds like the better solution to me. I've updated the BUR. It's also consistent with how it was used in the past before being changed by the same user who populated the current version (1, 2, 3).

Dick-inside-glove is exactly what glovejob used to be, until @clamz redefined it today to mean gloved handjob and created cum in glove for what glovejob used to be.

If we want to keep both tags, I'd say they should be called gloved handjob and penis in glove. Glovejob is too prone to confusion, as witnessed by this thread. Cum in glove is wrong, there doesn't have to be cum, it could just be a dick. Compare also with penis in thighhigh.

I don't mind having a gloved handjob tag as long as someone actually goes through gloves handjob and populates it. Otherwise there's not much point, anyone who wants this will have to search gloves handjob anyway or they'll miss most of the results.

Changed the BUR to alias cum_in_glove to penis_in_glove.

It seems like a single user arbitrarily changed the glovejob definition, created his own cum in glove tag and went ahead and replaced all instances of glovejob with cum_in_glove I'd say it would be easier to just revert his edits and alias glovejob to penis_in_glove to avoid any further confusion

In retrospect I should've just gone with a mass revert.

Does anyone mind if I manually fix the user's edits (while still leaving the BUR for an alias from glovejob to penis in glove)?

As the user that made the changes to the tags in the first place, I apologize for the confusion and if I overstepped my boundaries. My thinking was that a tag (either glovejob or something related like gloved_handjob) used specifically for scenarios where someone is wearing gloves and giving a handjob would be useful as it would match up directly with the 手袋コキ tag on Pixiv, and using the gloves + handjob tags doesn't always bring up a gloved handjob.

However, I realize that the vast majority of times you can get a gloved handjob combining the gloves + handjob tag anyways, and that it would be an arduous task to go through years of pictures to add a new tag. I will have the time in the next day or two to take this on if you like, but if you feel a tag specific for gloved handjobs is redundant, I have no objection at all. I will hold off on adding it to any other pictures for the time being.

Going with evazion's suggestion. We can just nuke gloved handjob at a later date if it keeps being unused.
