Should the dated tag also apply to posts like post #3891656, where the date is written in the commentary?
I would say yes but I'd like others' opinions before I start adding it to those posts.

We don't add tags like happy birthday and the like if it's only in the commentary so it's a strong no from me.
Also what Obsterics said.
Alright, so dated commentary it is.
誕生日 is put under both happy birthday and birthday, they should be separated.

Weird choice of topic but maybe this is a good time to discuss exactly what the birthday tag is supposed to be used for, all the things I can come up with are already covered by the other birthday-related tags.
What other tag would you use for posts that reference a character's birthday without actually saying happy_birthday? For instance, post #4030390.

I guess that would work, right now the tag is used for all kinds of birthday-related posts though and the wiki doesn't exactly with that, it sounds like something that would better fit in the birthday party wiki. I think for the kind of posts linked something like birthday date would be better/less prone for misuse but I don't feel too strongly about it, I've just been confused about what the tag is supposed to be used for.
