russian commentary -> cyrillic commentary

BUR #3587 has been rejected.

create implication russian_commentary -> cyrillic_commentary

The Russian alphabet uses the Cyrillic alphabet, so it is logical to create such a connection.
At the same time, Cyrillic is used for other languages as well, so creating an alias or inverse dependency is not suitable.

Other languages with Cyrillic are also known to me, but not enough is known about its current use in the language. So in Ukraine there are complex territorial and political relations regarding the Russian language.

There is also a tag, so it makes sense to think about creating links for the Latin script.
The wiki commentary has added a list of current tags, so you can think of other implications.

EDIT: The bulk update request #3587 (forum #173776) has been rejected by @Dolmatov.

Isn't it enough to tag the language itself? Tagging the alphabet as well seems like unnecessary tag bloat.

As far as I can tell, there haven't been any issues resulting from our lack of a latin_alphabet_commentary tag despite Latin script being the basis for the writing systems of dozens of modern languages. If we don't need that tag, we don't need cyrillic_commentary either.

It is possible that these words make sense. Then consider massively removing unnecessary tags.

It seems like cyrillic_commentary is often used when there is a mix of japanese and cyrillic text. And also when the commentary is only the characters names, in which case its hard to declare a language. Il delete the tag from posts that have only russian text (as best as I can without being able to read russian that is).

Is there a commentary language request tag? And a mixed language commentary tag?

There's mixed-language_commentary.

Performed the processing and creation of the comment tag wiki pages. In particular, on this topic created a comment description cyrillic_commentary.

If there are deficiencies, please report or correct the pages. I am a native speaker of the Russian language, so I might think about deleting / adding appropriate tags to posts (if there are designated tags, i.e. without searching through all posts).
