I wanted to ask about the messy_hair tag! Just looking at the first few pages it seems to be rather generous in what's considered "messy". Messy hair to me would be more "uncharacteristically messy" than something like post #4089121 which looks perfectly styled.
Is there some other tag that is used for something a bit more aggressively messy (Like how I'd imagine bed_head)?
Just going by the wiki description, it would seem to me that some people are misusing the "messy_hair" tag. I agree with you on the example you provided (post #4089121), which is most definitely not "messy hair", in my opinion. It has been tagged as "wavy_hair", which I feel is more accurate.

Is there a litmus test as to what differentiates "styled", "wavy", and "messy" beyond that one picture? It feels like the tag doesn't represent what I'm looking for when I search it.

I guess "messy" is a style, so it might be that I'm looking for a "disheveled" tag that differentiates the two groups.
