Is there any way to blacklist user uploaded images?

There's a user who has been uploading yaoi-related images, not traps, I'm fine with traps but muscle-bound guys.

I'm not condemning those images as there are people who are into those but somehow I don't like seeing those kind of images while I browse here in the site, it really just turns me off.

My method of blacklisting those images is by Artist since blacklisting by tags would also affect the ones I wanted to see. It works but since he/she uploads images from different artists, I have to add them to my list. I tried adding the user's name to my blacklist but his/her uploads are still appearing.

Is there any way to add the user to my blacklist?

Edit: Based on 166417’s suggestion, I suggest blacklisting uploaderid:###### male_focus.

Have you tried adding bara to your blacklist? In the meanwhile I've opened issue #4565 on github.

it can remove all the muscular cocks off your screen but not much else, but its still an improvement

I'm considering changing the frontpage from newest posts to popular posts (order:rank). The broader problem is that the frontpage has no curation or quality control and has always been prone to flooding by individual uploaders.

I'm mentioning this here not to discuss it, but to acknowledge that this problem of the frontpage being filled with posts that not everyone wants to see is something I'm aware of. I've seen some complaints about this on other sites too.

I don't think male-focused art should be disallowed, but it is a problem when people on other sites are complaining that when they visit Danbooru the site is filled with content they don't want to see. It's not a new problem either, complaints about the site being flooded go back a long way, whether it's things like comics or CG sets or doujins, or by self uploaders or other bad uploaders (see topic #16499 for the most recent complaint about this), or by certain copyrights like Touhou or Kantai Collection.

To answer the OP's question, you would be better off blacklisting tags like bara or male focus than specific uploaders.

Thing is, even if you did it by order:rank it would still get filled with stuff that not everyone wants to see. Almost half of the current top page by order:rank is stuff that I have blacklisted, for instance. And unlike ordering by date, that isn't going to change as soon as someone else uploads a bunch of stuff.

Plus order:rank a far less useful ordering system to begin with.

Maybe a collection of random artworks above a certain fav/score?

If you're worried about certain copyrights flooding the front page, then making order:rank the front page would be counter-productive to dealing with that since it tends to focus on a handful of certain copyrights. Not even every popular copyright, just some of them.

Anyway, after seeing the latest efforts I came here about this very matter.

I will allow anyone his kink, despite much here despoiling the wholesome reputation of Danbooru, for why should I judge others ? And I am uninterested in Safebooru, and such artifices for children; but I've got kinda sick of seeing fat muscular wankers preening.

I may say, though not particularly homophobic --- no more than the average Russian or Chinese ---, this last month has enlarged my beloved blacklist, without which Danbooru would be a quagmire of filth, sucking even more bandwidth than my addiction here already maintains; and 'yaoi' was added for the first time, but to little purpose since that's not a tag added automatically to two large nude men rubbing up against each other.

So:

A/ Why should not the chaps who like this have a Gaybooru ? It could even be run as a subdomain of this at virtually no cost, since the pictures transferred there would merely be using the same space and bandwidth previously used here.

I'm not suggesting moving all gay images there, bishounen etc. could still be here for the curious; just that if people want the strong stuff they should more naturally upload their wad there rather than here.

B/ Why not have a blacklist button in Options to easily and swiftly blacklist any artist ?

Instead of having to go to Account/Settings/scroll_down/add/save for each damn thing. It's fine blocking entire hobbies, like Torture, or genres like Superman; but when there are so many artists...
