Can anyone help me out here? It's literally a variation of a pic that's been approved twice. Quality is certainly acceptable.
It says 4 mods think it breaks the rules. Does anyone know what rule it breaks? I've gone through the list like three times and I can't find anything on it.

It's a nude filter/third-party edit, those are almost never accepted/approved.

Whether or not the art by mzet I post gets approved or not feels entirely up to chance, since all their modern stuff is of the same quality. It's pretty discouraging since I have no way of knowing how to correct the problem.

I had the exact same problem with nico_o0. Every post of theirs used to get approved, but as I approached the more recent works, some started getting deleted, until it got to the point where 100% of all uploads by that artist would be deleted.

I dont really post in this thread anymore but I think I can give a partial answer to most images above.
Danbooru is an art repository that allows pornographic art but sexually explicit images are less likely to be approved than other images.
We have about 14 active approvers (some of which looks at all the images but doesnt click pass), any one of them can approve a post if they like it. Most of them have been on the site for years and has seen a lot of anime girls (more than three millions for the oldest). A simple drawing of a smiling girl is thus also less likely to be approved these days. Quality requirements has increased, if not intentionally.
Then we have a lot of Builders with unlimited upload privileges. They keep uploading art with the same quality as they always have and those posts dont go through the approval que. If your asking "how did this get approved but my image didnt", check if there is an approver listed. If not then It wasnt actually approved.
Its not a great system but its the best we have been able to come up with. Art is always subjective. Any artist can have a slump for a while or change their style to something none of our approvers like, so "This artist used to get approved" isnt really an argument.

A simple image of a smiling girl. Quality is kinda uneven. Her face, grin and cleavage are good but her tiara, arm and horns/hair decorations are sub-par. Im not sold on the shading and the image is rather small.

IMO it's a good image that's not that bad. It's nothing that special or of super high quality, but it's good enough(besides her toe). You should appeal it with the, appeal function or in the deletion appeal thread.

These aren't lowres, aren't badly drawn, feature characters from a well-known franchise and are from an artist who (before now) only had 2 deletions. over the course of 500+ image uploads. So... what's the deal?
