Just updated [ sudo cp hosts /etc since I'm lazy ] Steven Black's excellent hosts file --- unified malware etc + gambling + porn --- and it immediately blocked danbooru for the first time.
I've used it for years.

I immediately sought out any instances of 'booru' and removed these:
0.0.0.0 danbooru.donmai.us
0.0.0.0 danbooru.online
0.0.0.0 gelbooru.com
.
Couldn't find any other innocuous site. Just to let anyone else updating that hosts.

I kinda doubt they are interested in pulling one site because one user says it's OK. Black's other extensions [ Fakenews, Social ] are hideously intrusive anyway, imposing a block morality of his biases.
But it might help someone here understand why the site has suddenly become unavailable.
As said, I've used this hosts for many years and this is new. I would have noticed otherwise.

If they can't reach the site, how will they see this topic?
This list isn't danbooru's responsibility, it is the user's responsibility to vet things like that.
