Being snide/mean should not matter...only the argument should matter. Anyone who cares about that stuff is a child who is ultimately willing to damage the integrity of the site and the tagging system only for the sake of chiding a singular user. All of you "builders" should lose your positions if you let your judgement be clouded so easily.

That right there is exactly what they mean by being snide and unfriendly. You are perfectly capable of discussing this calmly and reasonably, just like everyone else here has. No one here has explicitly insulted or attacked you, the only one being unnecessarily aggressive here is you.
Since you refuse to listen to what others are telling you: I'm an admin and I say the tag stays. Given that female fertilization is basically just the personal fetish of a single commissioner, and we only have 15 active posts under the tag, I don't think tagging it as impregnation is that big of a deal. I see little risk of it flooding the impregnation tag.
I recommend you blacklist female fertilization if you dislike it that much. I get that you dislike this fetish, but there are other things also tagged impregnation, including bestiality, tentacle sex, and futanari, that I'm sure other people would object to just as strongly. I'm sorry, but we can't make every tag cater to everyone's personal fetishes. This is what blacklists are for.
@evazion Tagging female_fertilization with fertilization: yea or nay? I don't mind either way as long as we have a hard rule we can apply consistently. The current fertilization wiki wording makes explicit reference to sperm cells but the tag was added back to all the posts that had been vandalized.
I support the idea of making the tags separate and only using fertilization for situations with sperm+ovum fertilization, and female_fertilization for ovum+ovum. It feels cleaner and more concise that way. I don't think it's a big deal one way or the other, though.
If this thread is continue, can some moderator rename the topic as it's currently very uninviting and uninformative. If this thread is not to continue, it should be locked to prevent wasteful back-and-forth arguments.
I would say female fertilization should count as fertilization, since it's pretty clearly meant to be a yuri version of that trope. I don't feel strongly about it though.

There are 115 of these things on rule34.xxx many of them I would consider "anime" enough to be uploaded here. Clearly more and more are being made. The very idea that you don't need to tag correctly because you're dealing with a small number of posts is ridiculous and shortsighted (more may be added in the future).
Also I'm sure you can acknowledge how easily you can edit "female_fertilization" into an image. Basically cut out that x-ray of the two ovums rubbing together and paste it on any image of 2 girls tribbing and BAM...got a new image there. Dunno if your site policies would allow such an edit, but if they do then that's another avenue that could generate literally hundreds of these things.

Those are all horrible examples. Those other things still fit under the wiki definition (and real life requirement) of a sperm cell hitting or traveling towards an ovum. Those occurrences ARE ALREADY BAKED INTO the wiki entry because it's so vague. I doesn't say "vaginal intercourse between a two compatible members of the same species"...it just says "sperm hitting egg". This "female_fertilization" defies that...thus it is wrong.
Could a tentacle get a girl pregnant? Who knows...but at least in that case it's a fantastical creature to begin with...we don't know what it's capable of. When I see two CLEARLY HUMAN women rubbing ovums together I know for certain that isn't going to produce offspring.

You're basically saying "use your blacklist to make a tag behave in the expected manner"...no...tags should do that by default. If I search for "sun_hat" and get a bunch of cowboy hats mixed in with them the solution isn't to blacklist "cowboy_hat" even if it's only on a few posts. The solution is to purify the sun hat tag and remove "cowboy_hat" form the posts where it has been incorrectly applied.
