No, for so many reasons. As a rule, character tags don't implicate general tags. Posts tagged with the character could be cosplayers, or character dolls, or fusions, or anything else not an android. Besides, characters tagged android should be visibly non-human anyway, with features like robot joints or antennae or cable ports and these characters aren't necessarily drawn that way.

And where exactly it is said so? Because android tag wiki doesn't have anything about that. I just love rules that are not written down anywhere. Well then, guess tons yorha* and some of android_18 pics should be de-tagged instead, because they all don't have any "obvious" mechanical parts. And this should really be noted in their wiki.

Usually the general rule is "Tag what you see, not what you know". If some android_18 artworks are mistagged, the blame is on the tagger. This is what tag gardening is for.

With that said, the android tag really should have some wiki.

From howto:tag:

...you should not tag what you know about a character. For example remilia_scarlet is supposed to be a vampire, but don't tag every picture depicting her with the vampire tag. Only use the vampire tag if the characteristics are clearly visible.

This applies to android just like any other tag. It's a pretty simple rule and it's conspicuously stated in one of the most easily-found wiki pages on the site. Surely you don't expect us to copy and paste a universal rule into every individual tag wiki.
