#girls -> #guys ? (also: futas)

So, if the #girls tag stands (was this really based on what I think it's based on?), then would "#guys" be an acceptable male version?

Also, how would such tags apply to traps of either type, and the #girls ones to futas? For the futas, I've seen it used, though there's been division on if they count for yuri. I'd think that if anything female-to-female is involved (basically, anything of the futa's being involved beyond/including the penis/nads) should count as yuri, since those parts are female.

That's hard to answer without knowing what you think it's based on.

2girls (I never use the 3+ versions) was meant, for some of us anyway, as a non-yuri alternative to images with two girls who might be exhibiting some kind of affection for each other, even subtly/slight, but don't qualify for the yuri tag. I know that's not what the wiki states right now, however.

But a policy of making character gender counting standard would be awful. 3 is debatable, 4 is silly and 5+ are just asinine tags. I don't see the point in extending it even further by adding males.

And futas do not count as yuri. Absolutely fucking no, not ever. Neeeeeeever. We have discussed this. It's not yuri if there's a giant cock ruining the image.

Futas don't count as girls, which is why they don't count toward the yuri tag. Yuri is girl on girl. A girl is a person with only female genitalia, therefore futa can never be yuri.

I'd also say that traps are discounted in the use of such #gender tags, as they're probably not what the person would be looking for using such tags.

As it currently stands the #girls tags do not cover above 5girls and anything above should be lumped into the girls tag. So if you're going to be doing that with a #guys tag, then you should do the same. In generally there will be too few representations once you start going past 5 to really warrant needing it's own tag.

Personally I think the number 5 was the perfect number to stop at, since it seemed pretty common for groups to end around that number. Sentai tend aim around 5, don't they?

I wouldn't bother with 4girls and 5girls.

girls is the absolute worst tag by a large margin.

Looking back on it, the girls tag was generated some 6 months ago when we were looking for a general tag to cover images with a large number of female characters in one image. This occurred because forum #9304 wasn't fully resolved.
