For your closing statement I would guess that appeals should probably done on a weekly or biweekly basis - but never for the same set of images twice. The 'official' appeal button can only be used once per day - so keep that in mind.

So if I have like 4 deleted posts, I can probably appeal two by two in two/four weeks time to seem reasonable.

No, Gelbooru's ruleset is much more lax than Danbooru's. You'll find things that were deleted here that aren't deleted on Gelbooru, and vice versa.
Gelbooru is unmoderated uploads, relying on users to flag things for review.

Enlisting new approvers solely for the sake of encouraging particular types of art seems problematic. Approver bias swings both ways -- an approver who automatically approves art that panders to a specific interest is just as bad as an approver who refuses to give the same art any consideration at all. Ideally we'd only have completely unbiased approvers who look at everything with a critical, dispassionate eye, but this is of course impossible as long as we rely on human volunteers for approval. It's still better to seek approvers who put quality foremost and try to assess everything honestly than approvers who demonstrate clear favoritism, though. We already have more than enough users who are willing to overlook glaring anatomy and perspective faults as long as the character's proportions appeal to their personal tastes.

There's also a slippery slope issue here. If, in the name of fairness, we should promote approvers who are fans of bara, shouldn't we also promote approvers who love furry art, or who want to see more bondage or giantesses or body odor? There are a lot of niche interests demanding more representation on Danbooru, but that doesn't mean we have to give special treatment to everything that isn't mainstream.

I understand as well as anyone else that the overwhelming majority of sexual content on Danbooru is targeted toward straight guys (being neither, it's hard not to notice). I don't think promoting more smut on this site in the name of diversity is necessarily a good call, though. If anything, there's too much smut already.

The problem with this kind of content isn't the fact that something is drawn in a bara fashion. The problem is the poorly executed anatomy or shading. Sometimes the anatomy is fine but the shading and the rest is flat out horrible but mostly the anatomy is way too stylized. It may look ok to you but even in real-life, I really can't stand what some bodybuilders are making out of their body. It just looks gross to me because it just looks unnatural to pump up your body with an endless amount steroids. I pretty much get the same vibes from the images when they are undressed. The dressed ones are mostly ok, hence I approved some of them.

But yeah, you will have to be careful if you want these images uploaded: Be aware that some of them feature over-stylized anatomy. Gigantic breasts, overly thick thighs and huge asses for females are going into the same direction: They also have problems getting approved and really only one approver is keeping those alive. You can imagine that bara-focused posts have a much harder time then. Big chunks of muscles aren't something a lot of us approvers consider attractive and not everyone likes explicit content. Those are two strikes against most of your uploads. Just wanted to let you know that if you want to continue uploading this kind of content.

It's of course allowed to upload but you really need the necessary luck to get those approved.

However, unlike my pre-poster, I think a database should be as diverse as possible which is why I'm willing to approve that kind of stuff even if it's not my beer. But it really needs to be good and not, sorry to call it that, garbage like post #3532379.

Adding to that, what looks most uncanny to me are those oversized hands, sometimes larger than an adult’s head. Even an insane steroids-filled bodybuilder doesn’t have hands larger than his head. (For reference, adult hands are usually roughly as big as the owner’s face, measured from chin to hairline.)

Isn't that a little too nit-picky at that point? I mean a tiny bit bigger hand or chest than usual is being a little too specific, the standard would be way too high. Those kinds of things almost always apply to Female art more than male, I think.. As usual I can grab examples just by going to the upload page stuff like post #3534238, post #3534018 and post #3534208 those arms really don't seem proportional to the rest of the body at all, and how is the rating s on these s? should't it be at least q? I put most of sexual implicit content under q, even if they didn't show any dicc or butts. Did I do it wrong?

I realize that I never paid too much attention to the details of some works, I'm learning to notice these things more. Being a pharmacist and not noticing anatomical mistakes is kinda ironic though, lol.

I do agree about that post, it's not good, I was blinded by emotion because someone I know drew that for me a while ago.
I will continue to post, and hopefully it'll be of quality you deem acceptable. I will avoid uploading any explicit content aside from the ones I uploaded though because it seems like the issue is too big and cannot be fixed at this time, I also do not prefer one over the other so SFW content is perfectly fine with me. Gelbooru seems like a decent option if I want to upload NSFW art.

I want to thank everyone who took part of the discussion, I honestly thought I would just be outright told to "shut up" when I typed this, but I'm glad that it wasn't the case. I don't know if this issue will be touched upon later, but for now I guess I tried what I can.

When it comes to art quality, Danbooru can at times be a bit... fickle. There are several long-time users here who have extremely lax standards, and plenty of others who unhesitatingly pounce on JPEG artifacts, bad hands, bad reflections, and so on. In general the moderation team is willing to overlook minor errors like inconsistent shading or exaggerated proportions, especially considering the propensity of anime artists for excessive stylization, but it's just human nature to be lenient towards things we personally enjoy and scrutinize the things we don't.

I changed the rating on post #3534238 to Questionable, given how prominent her butt is and how much outer labia is peeking out from beneath her swimsuit. Keep in mind, though, that a Safe rating is not the same as work-safe. Discreet pantyshots and non-sexual "artistic" nudity may still be rated Safe.

The Danbooru forums welcome spirited debate. Bringing issues out in the open is how we improve the site. If you had come here just to complain and make demands and act obnoxious, we would have politely told you to piss off, of course, but anyone with an open mind and a civil demeanor can expect a productive discussion. Even if the results aren't always what you're hoping for (I've lost count of the number of matters I've had to compromise on), we usually try to treat everyone fairly.
