mass update lei_lei -> shao_leilei
mass update lin-lin -> shao_lingling
It seems we use Pinyin for Chinese names as per topic #2905 and topic #2947 (both from 2009). So that's why we have character tags like sui-feng (Bleach character) and li_xiaolang (CCS character).
I found these character tags for two sisters: lei_lei and lin-lin. They are currently romanized in inconsistent ways. One tag uses a space, another tag uses a hyphen. The correct Pinyin is "ling", not "lin" (ignoring accents). None of them have their surname.
Both girls are present in post #1560280.
With that in mind, I suggest doing exactly these three things:
- Change (mass update) lei lei and lin-lin, respectively, to shao_leilei and shao_lingling.
- Add leilei/reirei and lingling/rinrin as aliases that use either the L or the R. The "R" versions seem like a good idea because in Japanese they are called レイレイ and リンリン.
- Add alias mei-ling -> shao_lingling because "Mei-Ling" is her English name, much like how we already have the alias hsien-ko because "Hsien-Ko" is the English name of the other girl.
Here's a table with info about the character names.
Chinese name | 少泪泪 | 少鈴鈴 |
---|---|---|
Pinyin romanization | Shào Lèilèi | Shào Línglíng |
Japanese Katakana name | シャオ・レイレイ | シャオ・リンリン |
Romanization from Japanese | Shao Reirei | Shao Rinrin |
Links to dic.pixiv.net | レイレイ | リンリン |
Character name in English localization | Hsien-Ko | Mei-Ling |
Current Danbooru tags (main tags) | lei_lei | lin-lin |
Current Danbooru tags (aliases) | leilei, hsien-ko | (no aliases) |
Suggested Danbooru tags (main tags) | shao_leilei | shao_lingling |
Suggested Danbooru tags (aliases) | leilei, reirei, hsien-ko | lingling, rinrin, mei-ling |
Suggested tag updates | lei_lei -> shao_leilei | lin-lin -> shao_lingling |
The English names can also be written with Chinese characters (Hsien-Ko = 何仙姑 = Pinyin "Héxiāngū"; Mei-Ling = 美玲 = Pinyin "Měilíng"), but I didn't add this to the table because this seems less important for tagging purposes.
I didn't create any wiki pages for shao_leilei and shao_lingling yet because I don't know if this project is going to be accepted or rejected. Should I create the wikis now?
Please let me know if there's any problem (or mistake, typo, whatever) in this project. I'm fine with changing any details or editing the bulk request. Thanks in advance.

Important:
I was going to add these two to the bulk update but I got "Error: Error: Antecedent name has already been taken (create alias leilei -> shao_leilei)".
alias leilei -> shao_leilei
alias hsien-ko -> shao_leilei
