On roof requires a person or object on the roof. Rooftop can be empty.

What about post #2626818? She is sitting on the roof, yet you can't see the rooftop itself, just the eaves.

I agree with the others.
rooftop no_humans is also showing at least 60 posts where the alias wouldn't fit; a person needs to be visible.
