Hello there,
i would be interested in upgrading my account but i do not find an option do this one time payment with Paypal, if Paypal is no option then i can't upgrade it, i doubt that the creditcard of mine is working for "non german" services, even if it would work i not feel like posting it somewhere on the internet, i prefer paying with paypal, so if there is a way to obtain a gold account by using paypal then please do let me know.

It’s not possible to pay via Paypal.
That said, German credit cards are generally activated for US payments. Same goes for debit cards, if you have one of those. This only applies to Visa, MasterCard and similar services. You cannot use a European girocard or Maestro card.
Paying via credit card is generally safe and low-risk if you avoid shady services. If your card data does get stolen and abused, pretty much all German banks offer some kind of voluntary insurance as an inclusive service for their customers and refund any unauthorized payments and send you a new card if you notify them. This actually makes credit/debit card payments safer than bank transfers, which your bank won’t refund if you mess up.
I’ve never seen anyone complain about their credit card getting abused after paying on Danbooru.

All account upgrades have to be done on Safebooru, credit card or not. That’s safebooru.donmai.us, and not that other Safebooru. ;-)
I see no mention of Paypal anywhere, though. Neither here nor there, so I wonder where you heard that from. I don’t have a sockpuppet account to check if it’s just not shown to me because my account can’t be upgraded there.

This could just be my crappy memory failing me again which is most likely, I probably just used my credit card to upgrade, disregard my post in that case.

Even as a Gold+ user, you can still check out the upgrade UI via the Gift Upgrade option. This can be triggered from a users account, or by adding "?user_id=######" to the upgrade URL.
As for Paypal, don't they offer credit cards...?

Yes, but signing up for a line of credit just to upgrade your 2D porn is kinda stretching it. They used to offer debit cards but when I got annoyed with some guy not being able to find the option for his purchase of Nekopara Vol. 3, I couldn't find it any more either.
