Transgender Women

It'd be nice if there was a way to specifically search for transgender girls? Here are some key criteria which separate it from existing tags:

* Traps or "otoko_no_ko" are generally flat-chested boys/shota
* "Transgender women" have breasts, are not shota/boys
* Transgender women have a dick/balls and breasts

It may also be wise to update "transgender" alias, it shouldn't point to "genderswap" for the purpose of this topic.

Even something like "dick girl" would be appreciated... though I guess that could also apply to futanari...

On that note, I think, after reading the wiki article on the "newhalf" tag, that "transgender" should instead be an alias for "newhalf" and not "genderswap."

I will agree that genderswap!=transgender as the former involves the complete and almost magical transformation of genders whereas the latter usually involves the partial and medical transformation of genders. To be quite honest though, I'm not sure how the transgender tag could be applied anywhere without knowing the full context of an image, i.e. the background on the character. Even if such information was available, I'm not sure what purpose adding the tag could serve.

So bottomline, I'd be in favor of unaliasing transgender if it could be meaningfully used somewhere (though not as another alias). But since I don't see how the tag can be used meaningfully, I'm for leaving things as they are.

"Genderswap" is more of a magical, anime-nonsense thing.

If transgenders are pretend women, once they achieved that wouldn't the image be exactly the same as a normal female ? That seems to be the point of the wanted change.

If they still had male genitalia and a Y chromosome the little cartoons would still be men. Just not as other men are.

If a normally male character is depicted as verifiably female not including otoko no ko's, then they would be tagged with genderswap (mtf). Vice versa for females. Anything inbetween should be tagged as such, e.g. futanari, newhalf, etc.

Knowing the chromosomal makeup of a character is impossible given that it's just a picture, and in the character's universe they could even have different sex chromosomes, e.g. Z. That's why the "tag what we see" usually holds precedence over all else.

However, having said that, I'm not sure it's clearly defined how gender counters are supposed to work in these situations.

I.e. for the following, what should be used, 1girl/multiple girls or 1boy/multiple boys, or should a new counter be devised?

• newhalf
• futanari
• full-package futanari
• hermaphrodite (shouldn't this be rolled up into futanari...?)
• cuntboy
• ...?

If a new counter is desired, some potential ideas include...

• 1_transgenders/multiple_transgenders or 1_tg/multiple_tgs
• Not accurate, but more familiar term
• 1_intersex/multiple_intersex
• Accurate, but less familiar term
• ...?

I think we don't use counters in those cases, just like with androgynous. Unfortunately, having something blanket like 1_other is practically asking for good old shitstorm.

I've asked this question before, and consensus seemed to be that futanari and newhalf characters should generally be tagged as whichever gender they most resemble. There are some cases that fall through the cracks, however - Mariandale's gender tagging is inconsistent, and the main characters of Hourou Musuko are consistently tagged as otoko no ko and reverse trap, despite the series being about their gender transitions.

The only thing we're completely lacking is a counter for characters who are entirely androgynous. I wouldn't be against making a "1other" for those, as long as the usage rules are defined to exclude characters that people would object to calling "other".

ed - Regarding the main topic at hand here, it might be a good idea to dealias transgender and turn into a disambiguation tag for the time being, since genderswap definitely isn't an accurate synonym.

Which is why any investigation is pointless since if a cartoon looks like a woman ( unless crossdressed ) that is a woman for all intents and purposes.

Hermaprodite, child of the gods, seems to have a respectable pedigree, despite the fact Ancient Greeks made up stuff simply for the fun of it.

As for completely, it's difficult to combine two sets of genitalia, and it seems rarely a birth condition. They are made of the same set of ingredients and it would be like making two full-size pistols out of the parts for one full-size pistol.

Most people will have never heard the term newhalf, so that's understandable.

Just inform them of the distinction and, if the same person/people persist regardless, you could post it in the tag vandalism thread maybe (?) or issue a neut/neg record.

If it's taking place among a large number of users, it might be worth adding a more prominent usage note to the futanari wiki (presently the warning is only on the newhalf wiki).
