Is there any "incentives" for getting new people to the site?

I was wondering about privileges and incentives I may get for getting new people and maybe even artists to the site? I love being able to have new material on the site and I don't want to be selfish but would there be a treat?

Artists shouldn't post their own work here, either. Have them join pixiv. Or DeviantArt.

We're all a bunch of elitist snobs. We don't actually want new people to join the site.

Elitist snobs? I figured we were more along the lines of old people not wanting kids on their lawn.

Incentives? Like what? I'd think a couple hundred thousand images to look at would generally be enough. We're not lacking for uploads either, so while new members are always welcome, we're not out begging for new people either.

I probably should have been specific. When I said treat I meant more along the lines of an account upgrade but whatever. I'm sure if I contribute enough I'll get an account upgrade anyway.

Well, let's just say that I wouldn't expect too much if I were you. I was joking before, but there is some truth to what I said. There's really not much of a desire for new users here at all, and in fact the site was shut down and made invite-only a while ago because it was growing too fast and was getting filled with shit (this was before we had a moderation queue).

And anyway artists aren't allowed to post their own work here so "getting new artists" wouldn't enhance the quality of the site at all either.

They should be doing it on deviantart or pixiv or elsewhere. Danbooru isn't intended as a replacement for the above, and if you allow some artists to do it, then others will expect to be allowed too. Also, most artists who have posted their own material on danbooru have, so far, been bad.

So it's not a rule that's going to change.
