Is there any tag for light source from behind main character/object? (Both tags that are describing the light source and describing the characters/objects standing in front of the light source and the view angle at directly opposite of the light source
Also, what kind of sword is this?

Backlighting and light rays describe the lighting effect well enough for our needs.
The sword is a saber.

Her top.
Doesn't look like any top I've ever worn before. There's probably not a term for it, but you can describe it as crop top, front-tie top, and off shoulder, at least.

Zettamorose insists that it qualifies for male_focus, but I think the girl (assuming that it is a girl) is far too prominent in the picture. A third opinion would be welcome.

I'm not very familiar with the tag, but not even close to male_focus in my opinion, if you go by the wiki definition of "overwhelming emphasis on male characters".

I'd say that, while the male technically takes up more space of the picture, the girl has about equal presence in the overall picture. So, personally, I won't use male_focus.

The wiki goes on to state, "Do not use on ... any image with an easily noticeable female presence," yet she's right there in the foreground.
This post obviously isn't male focus, and now that I look, it isn't an isolated case either. See post #2707813 and post #2782827 as well. At risk of derailing this topic, I'm deeply curious about what, exactly, is @Zettamorose 's reasoning for using this tag for images where there's a woman in focus, in the foreground, interacting with the male character, and with her entire head and torso in the frame.
Personally, I view male focus in much the same way as solo focus -- any female characters in the image should either be almost entirely out of frame or clearly there only as a background element. Any significant attention given to them by the artist is a big strike against the tag, especially in hetero images which by their very nature have a female character in an active role rather than as just part of the background.

Is there a tag for rifle cases such as the one she's carrying?
Also, will that tag apply for the first image?

I don't think we have a tag for that; gun_case would be my suggestion, if a tag were to be created, to generalize it to all guns. As for your second Q I'm not too sure that it would count, given the context of the second image I suppose it should be tagged as such but would probably go against the 'tag what you see not what you know' rule of thumb. I could be wrong though since the case looks unique enough for specifically holding guns... that or for holding keyboards ...

For the no socks tag. I came across post #1148076 and its post changes where the tag was 'debated'. The character in question is wearing sandals; is it really the norm to wear socks while wearing sandals? Going through no_socks it would seem that this is assumed since a majority of the images are of characters wearing sandals.
If it's a case of zouri and geta normally worn with tabi why not just tag only these with no socks (when it applies) since these don't implicate sandals and so shouldn't be considered as such? That would differentiate sandals in the west and Japanese sandals from the no socks tag and make it less of a tag that's 'implied' for regular sandals.
Otherwise 20k~ images under sandals should all be tagged with no socks.
