Does anyone object to this initiative?:
- Create a wiki page listing all the "howto:x" articles with a specific section for source specific guides
I am drafting such a page now and will publish it if this is not controversial.

help:home is already a little dense with links. It would be good to include the most important ones there, but I don't see any problem with having the full list elsewhere.
Something like a differently-organized list of meta-wikis, then?
we have three tags for the same thing: smpte_color_bars, color_bars, test_card . the first is most recent and duplicates the older ones with more easily remember names. should the wiki be move instead?
Regarding smpte color bars, I'm not sure why we need a tag for the SMPTE pattern in particular. For North American and Japanese television viewers, that pattern is pretty much synonymous with test card to begin with. Maybe if we see some uploads featuring other test patterns like PM5544, this will be worth rethinking, but for now I don't see the point of maintaining a tag that for all intents and purposes is the same thing as test card.
As for color bars, we're using it for two completely different things: color blocks used in printing (post #440097), and television test patterns (post #2750738). Both functions are already served by other tags, namely, test card and color guide. Given that it's both redundant and highly ambiguous, this tag should probably just be merged into the other two and the relevant info migrated from its wiki.
Her appearance is based on the adult animal serval.
What is the source of this statement?
Neither the guidebook (vol. 3, p. 31) nor the official twitter account nor Yoshizaki Mine says something like this.
Pixpedia article describes her as an adult serval though, but with no reliable source. I suspect it is the editor's mere opinion.

Remove it if you want, I don't really care one way or the other.
Could we clarify the definition of midriff a little better? From its current wording:
Use this tag when there are clothes above ... and below... Don't use this tag if the character is ... wearing only underwear or a bikini.
Based on this, it seems like it would be acceptable to tag the midriff on images like post #2780981 (bikini top + shorts) or post #2510622 (shirt + panties) but not on post #2762297 (bikini alone) or post #2614821 (underwear alone). Is this intentional, or do we really mean that the tag is meant for "complete" midriff-baring top and bottom ensembles?

The corrupted image wiki says that such a post should be purged and reuploaded if the source is still available. Now that post replacements are possible, should the wiki be changed accordingly?

Hmm... I'd say yes, probably.

I went ahead and replaced the purging and reuploading in the corrupted_image wiki with a reference to topic #14156.

Alrighty,
On other notes, I've recently received a suggestion from a user to consider perhaps providing imgur albums to serve as helpful tutorials and visual aids for how to upload from all of the various upload sites listed in howto:upload/topic #14119. I'm not sure when I'll get to it, but if someone is good at making those sorts of things, I would appreciate the help.
As I asked in forum #134114, I want to write the wiki for source_quote_parody, but I'm not exactly sure what it's referring to or how to describe it.

I have a feeling I know what it means, but I'd like to summon the top users that have tagged it the most. ( @EB @r0d3n7z )
User | Tag count |
---|---|
EB | 42 |
r0d3n7z | 9 |
Source quote is used when it is a direct quote from a work, so IMO source quote parody is for when the quote is parodied by being slightly altered from its original form.
If eye scar is different from scar across eye and shouldn't be aliased it could use a wiki to explain where it should be used, right now it's not applied consistently.
Could someone explain what makes hand_on_ass different from ass_grab?

I think hand on ass is for situations when the hand is placed on the ass, such as covering the ass, or caressing it, or wiping dust off it, etc.. Ass grab is used when the ass is held or groped (or when the fingers are clutching).
Is the tag sleeve cuffs supposed to be used both for posts like post #2820616 and post #2794623? It seems very undertagged if that's the case and it lacking a wiki doesn't help.
