post #2725861 is a mp4 video file but fails to play when viewed using Mozilla Firefox.
Upon download to my PC, it works fine. Any ideas about why this happens?

Just checked the file further. The video part of it is encoded in MPEG-4 ASP, which is what DivX and Xvid are based off of. Firefox and Chrome both don't natively support that format in the MP4 container. This makes me beg the question, why didn't the user upload a WebM of the video? VP8 is better than even Xvid.

Original Poster here. I didn't know Danbooru let you upload WebM files. I thought I couldn't view it because of a connection error of sorts on my end but wtvs. I'll be reuploading the WebM format of it when it gets deleted.
@Jokzer upload the webm to a mirror site (imgur should work, I believe) and I or someone else will consider replacing the MP4 in place for you.
Just an offer to mitigate a deletion on your record.

I uploaded it on webmshare. Imgur doesn't accept webm, only gifv i think.

Many thanks.

Replaced, but I don't think it'll go to approval anyway -- the third party watermark is kind of blegh.
