Attempted to migrate Tag Subscriptions to Saved Searches, instead lost them

I had a rather large list of artists I used the old Tag Subscription feature to keep track of. It's been a while since the Tag Sub feature was disabled, so I figured I would finally play around with Saved Searches to figure it out instead of putting things off any longer. I attempted to migrate all my old Tag Subs using the option on the Tag Sub page to do so, but instead of getting my Subscriptions migrated to Saved Searches I simply lost them. Nothing showed up in my Saved Searches and I also no longer have the text of the Tag Subscriptions available to attempt to reassemble my artist lists.

So... I don't know. If my old lists can somehow be salvaged that would be great, but I don't really know if that's reasonable to expect or not. Hopefully at least this is something that doesn't have to happen to someone else in the future.

Yes, it's an unexpected bug. We'll have to wait for Albert to fix things, hopefully he'll be able to recover lost subscriptions as well.

I had similar problems with Subscriptions that had a large number of tags. Were any of your subscriptions more than 10 tags? I believe that's the upper limit for saved searches working as intended by porting over.

I had more than ten tags in my case. I thought each tag would have its own saved search and then saved into a category that has the same name of the tag subscription.

The bug itself should be fixed but the lost data hasn't been recovered yet. Copying this from issue #2987 for awareness:

Multiple users have already reported losing their subscriptions due to bug that's fixed in #2986. It should be possible to recover those from database backups prior to migration notice, if we have any. Opening the issue here so it doesn't get lost in the forums.

I was just looking to message someone over this issue, the same thing happened to me yesterday.
