So, while I was browsing the site today, I momentarily saw something pop up along the side of the page saying "Congratulations" for something. I was clicking between a few different pics, so I accidentally moved off of the page before I saw the message. Just wanted to see if anyone had any idea what it was. Pretty sure it wasn't an ad or anything since I'm running uBlock Origin, but also wanted to see if it was maybe something important I missed?

Right now, Danbooru doesn't have ads, so it wasn't that. Also, Danbooru's messages come as either a big yellow box at the top of the screen (when you get a PM or are mentioned in a forum topic) or a gray banner at the top of the screen that doesn't go away until you click "hide" (for site-wide announcements). If something was popping up on the side of the page, it wasn't from the site. You should check your system for malware or malicious add-ons.
It shouldln't be any of that. I have an active antivirus software and scan regularly, and like I said, it appeared/disappeared between pages loading, so it would have to have been directly related to the website. No idea what the heck it was though, wish I had gotten to see it for more than a split second. It didn't look like a cheap ad either, matched the visual appearance of the site really well.
Did you accidentally go to a fake site? I remember finding one sometime ago. topic #13463
