48 posts and no wiki for burn mark, 384 and wiki for burn scar and so far as I can tell, they are used for the same thing

There are a few cases where the burn mark isn't actually a scar.

If we want to use them for different things, the first and most important thing we need is a wiki pointing it out

There is also a underused scorch_marks tag, perhaps we can simply migrate your examples over to scorch_marks.
