The Brave Witches have their own tag, but while "Strike Witches" usually refers to the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, it's also the name for the franchise in general, of which the Brave Witches (502nd) are a subset.

Rather than imply the sequel to the original, why not create a series tag and imply both copyrights to that. This aides in searching for images which feature both franchises, especially as brave witches becomes more populated once the anime is released. A series tag would also help future proofing, as any additional "???_witches" franchise can imply the overall series tag.

I do believe that the overall branding for the series now (at least everything not Strike Witches) is "World Witches". Why not that?

It looks like it's specifically "World Witches Series" on the official website.

I'm not that familiar with the series, but it looks like world_witches_series is the official name. I've edited the request.

There are a number of posts that have some characters from the original Strike Witches (for instance, Eila is in a lot with Nikka). I think the mass update is fine, but the Strike Witches tag will need to be reapplied to those particular images (I'm OK with doing the task if needed).

I went ahead and also re-added Strike_Witches to the images with Eila in them, can go ahead and add it to others that need the tag re-added.

I went through brave_witches ~miyafuji_yoshika ~sakamoto_mio ~minna-dietlinde_wilcke ~erica_hartmann ~gertrud_barkhorn ~sanya_v_litvyak ~perrine_h_clostermann ~francesca_lucchini ~charlotte_e_yeager ~lynette_bishop which got most of them. There were minor characters outside of the Brave Witches still appearing when excluding the Strike Witches tag, but some I don't think even appear in the original anime franchise. I added in a few more to Strike Witches among the ones I know who do (like Takei Junko, Hanna-Justina Marseille, and Heidimarie W. Schnaufer).
