Cleaning up Flower Knight Girl names, transitioning them from the Japanese names for the flowers to the English names. At the moment they're a bit of a confusing mix, so either I go all English or all Japanese names, and since I used the English names for any new character tags, I wanted to keep it consistent. Of course I know that Danbooru prefers Japanese names, but these characters are supposed to be personifications of flowers.

They may be personifications of flowers, but what we deal with here are still names of the characters.
So I would vote for using transliteration of their Japanese names rather than English variants.

Given the lack of images per individual tag and past instances of similar situations like this, such aliases would normally be rejected. The only option for these would be to include the other name in the wiki and list of characters.

I could manually change at least the flowers that have Japanese names ("tsubaki" for camellia, "gekkabijin" for queen of the night, etc.) back to their Japanese transliterations, but I would want to add their English names to their wikis. After all, not everyone knows what the Japanese names of flowers and plants are, and not every flower/plant has a Japanese name, like alstroemeria or poppy.

In that case, I would have to cancel the requested alias removal for asagao (flower knight girl). Does that work for everyone?

I'm for how they are pronounced.

If it is read in Japanese like Asagao, Yorugao, Nadeshiko, Sakura and etc, then they should be tagged as such- and the same goes for english-read characters like Balloon Vine, Night Phlox, and others...

I would like to also do the alias thing as well if it is applicable.

I don't think aliases would be accepted if there aren't enough posts to justify it. In any case, I can always do it manually.

By the way, how am I supposed to romanize オオオニバス for royal water lily (flower knight girl)? Same goes for シャムサクララン for wax vine (flower knight girl).

Just stick with the obvious "ooonibasu" and "shamusakuraran" IMO. Sure, they don't exactly look good when romanized that straightforwardly, but tags are meant for searching, not to be easy on the eyes. Best to use whatever spelling someone thinking of the katakana name would naturally expect.
