Recent posts in the 'what tag is this' thread made this come to mind.

A nikuman is a type of manjuu. I imagine in most pictures it's ambiguous what type of manjuu is being held or eaten, nor is a distinction really necessary, so it seems like it should be aliased.

well if we want to be picky about what it's called, why don't we call them by the Chinese baozi?

We do have a precedent for using chinese for a tag.

Sure, why not. It resolves the issue that technically only buns with sweet fillings are referred to as "manjuu" AFAIK.

Of course there exist some similar regional ambiguities between the terms "baozi" and "mantou" in Chinese, but not much that can be done about that, and "baozi" seems to be predominant anyway.

The tag alias nikuman -> baozi has conflicting wiki pages. baozi should be updated to include information from nikuman if necessary.
