So, for the past month, I've started seriously uploading pictures to Danbooru, and what I've found is that the standard for what pictures get approved seems to be practically nonexistent, or at least if there is one it wildly shifts from day to day.
Let me use a few examples to illustrate my point:
Both posts are drawn in the same style by the same artist, and both of them depict fairly similar subject matters, yet one of those post is approved while the other isn't. I really have trouble seeing how one of them can be approved while the other isn't. There is also stuff like this, for instance:
and
Where the lower quality post is somehow approved while the higher quality one is rejected.
I won't lie, this is very demoralizing, especially when I've been doing this for close to a month now and still can't nail down even a vague estimate of what would be considered acceptable quality. This would be acceptable if a picture getting disapproved doesn't count against me, but it does. Every single pic that gets deleted penalizes me, and being unable to at least guess at what would be accepted and what wouldn't is.
Is it possible to implement at least a semi objective standard, at least to the point where a regular person can look at a picture and easily determine if it will be approved?
