Maybe with you they don't. But IMO they are just fine. post #154918 follows perfectly the rule of thumb described in the wiki, while post #154842 don't, although it's at the limit of it.

That's what the wiki reads in implicit way. It's all about the proportions. But not in manner of if it's loli or not, but according to the proportions of the head, back, I even look at the size of the hands sometimes to see if it fits with large or huge breasts.

Now, after a while of looking nothing but large and huge breasts the line that differs them starts to fade. Suddenly some huge breasts starts to look not-so-huge. And sometimes the proportions of the character are so wrong that according to the head is "huge breasts" but according to the rest of the body is "large breasts" or vice versa.

post #277500 is a little ambiguous and should be tagged with large because of this ambiguity. However post #242317 and post #302414 are tagged correctly.

Is post #323412 large breasts? Maybe in real life, but maybe not so compared to the anime average...

You have a point in this one. The anime average should be considered to decide if is large, huge or simply breasts, the tag to be added. However, it's not always that easy, and not everyone is aware of all the references. Even I screw up sometimes.

On the issue of large_breasts versus huge_breasts: I know for tagging purposes that a concrete definition is best, but the concept that is trying to be tagged is kind of nebulous to begin with. I could be wrong, but large breasts is really defined by the art style, character's body proportions, and such. It is effectively trying to tag a concept like "the breasts of this character appears on the large end of character's with this art style and/or character's from this series, but they don't seem excessively large as to throw the character's appearance off." It is imo less an issue of the character's actual bust size, and more of how it works in the context of the character's whole body. Thus as I said, it's a nebulous concept and as such something that doesn't really work well with a concrete measure. Even with a concrete rule of measure, you're going to have just as many problems with the boarder between the two tags.

I can understand that there are problems using proportion, such as you suggest with loli-like body proportions, but overall I think it works well enough with more common teen-adult body types (which I'd think would be the vast majority of those using these tags). Perhaps instead of making absolutes there should be different rules for certain body types. Though in regards to like fat girls, I personally feel that if they can have the fat tag applied to them, they shouldn't be additionally tagged with either the large or huge breasts tags. Not that I have anything against them, it is just that I think the impact of these tags comes from the fact that it is a normally depicted thin body with breasts of those sizes and it is kind of a given that fat women will have large/huge sized breasts.

I have no real issues with changing the example images, but I feel that you must have them close to the boarder between the two tags and there must be examples period.

I disagree. I think the examples should be as far away from the grey area as possible, as we did with short_hair/long_hair. I think they should be smack in the middle of of what they are trying to describe. For example, for large breasts, I'd choose a picture that is, without a doubt, large_breasts, anything a bit bigger or a bit smaller is definitely still large_breasts. Same for huge_breasts but with a bigger upper threshold of course. Îf you put the examples close to the thick border between the two, which is hazy and subjective, it will be much more hard to differentiate between the two.

I'm not saying don't have examples of the norms for either tag, but you really need to have the boundary drawn visually as well. Sure they'll be subjective, so what? The whole boundary will always be subjective, that doesn't mean there aren't examples that still more or less fit the definitions currently there dividing the two. If you only cover the norm you're just ignoring the boundary between the two, which is ironic because of how much you complain about its haziness. Seeing examples of the norm of course will solidify what is normally appropriate for that tag (which is good), but it won't help anyone when they come across that gray area in between.

Edit: Never mind... I moved some posts from clothes change to outfit swap and was going to encourage people to make more use of the tag, but didn't notice there was a costume switch tag that was more popular than either.

The former two tags have now been exterminated. costume switch could use your love, though.

Are cosplay and costume_switch really mutually exclusive? It's still cosplay if they're switching costumes.

I'm wondering what tag should be used for suit worn by Noriko from Gunbuster(and the other girls too), would pilot_suit suffice? Thing is you see, its not like a traditional pilot suit its more of a swimsuit worn with a tracksuit jacket on top.

I think not, it doesn't look anything like a pilot suit. At best I'd use swimsuit_under_clothes. Use takaya_noriko_(cosplay) if it's cosplay.

Leotard would make sense, they do look like they're dressed for some kind of athletic event. The outfit also reminds me of Battle Athletes, such as post #193959. I've never watched either series though.

You're the one who's saying that outfit is a leotard, post #60277 looks like a swimsuit to me. Plus, it has no sleeves like gymnasts' leotards do.

A) Its not a swimsuit. Period

B) Leotards do not have to have sleeves.

Just Leotard, since they are frequently under clothes anyway.
