Just basic personality cult behavior. There are fewer politicians and businessmen with such cults, but the ones who do you'll see the same behavior.

There's also a difference between mocking something someone's done and just making some shit up.

Really weird that you can mock politicians, but the nanosecond you mock a Vtuber, you got an army of simps kicking your door down.

She wasn't being mocked, is the problem. She was being used to make a completely out of pocket reference to something that happened four years ago that had nothing to do with her. Artist only drew it because people asked him to, and Nimi hadn't done or said anything that really warranted the association.

When you use someone in place of another like here, you're drawing a parallel between them, whether that's your intention or not. Why would you want to give people the impression that there's a parallel between someone like Nimi and some racist schizo?

This chain is odd cause it doesn't seem like the artist actually had any ill intentions. It seems like people are having a lot of opinions on them for something that was apparently the most requested thing he was given.

He could've easily just drawn the meme without knowing the full context. A lot of memes nowadays people will use without having the knowledge.

Now is it great he took it down once pointed out what the context was? Sounds good on him. But it doesn't sound good if people took it as him trying to smear the vtuber when he was doing something requested by someone else....

His post history makes it pretty clear he's a fan of hers so I doubt he had ill intention is all....

Sadly, feelings don't care for facts, and the artist angered a lot of people whose feelings weight more than common sense.

He knew what the context was, his replies make that very apparent. He didn't take it down because he learned what the context was, he did it because people were mad he depicted Nimi as a racist. It being a request doesn't absolve anything, either. It was literally, "Now draw her on a plane. "Sure." and then he specifically referenced this meme. He knew exactly what they were referencing.

I find it very telling certain people here are more interested in criticizing Vtuber fans than admitting that maybe it's fair that fans don't like it when their perfectly innocent cinnamon roll of an oshi gets associated with a bad person for no reason. So easy to act like it's not a big deal when it's not someone you care about, right?

I think such arts should be prohibited on this site as it brings political matters and in fact are a material that ignites a cultural feud.

Political arguments aren’t really all that common here, and when they do start, the mods usually do a decent job keeping things from getting too out of hand. If you find a post offensive, the best thing to do is to add the relevant tags to your blacklist so you won’t see them. You can blacklist artists too.

with these arts the author expresses direct support for the terrorist country, any such art should be banned, if you like genocide and murder then I feel sorry for you
