As sad as it is to see her go, since she stated she isn't leaving Cover and just the streaming side of thing it seems like she's moving into more of a Staff/Management role which, if it's true that Cover is going to open a US office, gives her a lot of advancement opportunities.

Edit: More details emerged, okay so if it's not a Staff/Management role and she's remaining an "Affiliate"... your guess is as good as mine.

I assume it's a case of her wanting to move back to her PL where she can have more freedom as her main content channel, similar to Magni and Vesper, though she negotiated so that she doesn't have to abandon the Amelia Watson identity altogether so if she wants to drop by for a cameo appearance she's allowed to and she'll also remain able to openly interact with her friends in Holo, unlike the usual case where graduating mean ceasing all public interactions even if they left on good terms.

So she's not gonna become a second A-Chan or whatever? I saw some other folks speculate about that too.

I think she'll continue working as sort of a guest appearance type of deal. Instead of before where when the vtuber graduates and the character is essentially "dead", it's likely she'll appear in official Hololive streams when schedule allows and maybe even some promotional work, like how Kiara described it with Morning Musume, where previous members come back for events as a surprise and such.

Why won't Hoyoverse flesh out their relationship more? Why do they just focus on trust events between the mc and other characters (such as Jane)?

Sadly because they know sailing ships makes money. And that there are players who wants all the waifus/husbandos for themselves.
So they give you a teaser for relationships but don't dive deeper to satisfy people on both ends. H3I use to just straight up go into the relationships but with Genshin and beyond they learned this method.

In gacha games there must always be ambiguity as to who a character is into, so people who prefer that character with the MC/themselves are satisfied too. They are often the money-makers, after all.
The only exception I'm aware of is FGO, but that's because that game uses historical figures and as such some canon relationships are inevitable.

yeah, I get what you mean. However, correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't they make money anyway if they appease the part of the community that prefers (for example) Seth and Jane instead of Wise (mc) and Jane? Tbf, I've seen WAY more Seth x Jane artwork than Wise (mc) x Jane artwork.

Ambiguity in gacha games is such a pain...

Oh for fuck's sake, she's quitting?

She's not "quitting" in the sense she's graduating, she's ending all streaming activities but will still be apart of group projects, Her channel and socials will be shut down but announcements of her involvement will be announced on the main channels of Hololive EN.

This is just what the endstage of burn out is.

Oh wow, when I posted this I looked up the ship just to see that it existed. I figured Morichan simply picked the one ship that would crossover with his favorite character of choice despite being way too old for Kantai Collection. It was launched in 1902 and used for the Russo-Japanese war.

In actually though the Kasuga survived to and was even still being used by the IJN during WWII (even if it was only a disarmed barracks ship at that point) and wasn't sunk by the Allies until two months before the end of the war in 1945. Serving for 43 years without fully being taken out of service isn't a bad run for a warship.

EDIT: Digging into this further, there was another super long-serving armored cruiser from roughly the Kasuga's era, the Yakumo. It was launched 3 years earlier in 1899, survived to WWII, was still actively used in the war as a cruiser (rather than being stripped down and reclassified like Kasuga). It survived the war without getting sunk, and continued to be actively used after the war was lost as a transport for the better part of a year to bring people back to Japan from it's previous holdings before finally getting scraped in 1946. That's an even better run of 47 years. Kantai Collection and the other WWII naval gacha games should implement her.

Question: So, a lot of these Ame pictures are getting added to the Virtual Graduation Commemoration pool. However, from what we know, Ame isn't ACTUALLY graduating. She's ceasing "general activities" and "will remain affiliated with Cover Corp, participating in future projects." So she's still part of Hololive/ Cover, or something like that.

So should all these art pieces REALLY be added to the VGC pool? It's not a big deal, just a kinda curious thought I had. Probably a bit pedantic.

ceasing activities is a low-key word for graduating without some big show "final livestream" etc.

Ame and her relation with Hololive will go though a big change and one part of that is ending her usual activities like livestreams, chats, concerts, and her appearances. People and artists are saying goodbye to that part to create a moment of closure.

For that reason alone, all related art should be in the pool, regardless of the cause, her reasoning, or her future plans with Hololive.
