@iori98 : Good old Karma.

Still, I to give credit for Trump to continue to go against common trend, if this happens to anybody else, this person would have received a huge amount of support, even from the opposite side and will get an easy victory for the futur election.

But Trump is such an unlikable jackass, that most people shrug off or were more concern aboot the actual victim (who Trump have yet to give the family the condolence, something that Biden did immediately).

It doesn't help that Kamala campaign team is extremely competent and were able to get the support of people from all the corner of society, including non-indoctrinated Republican.

I did see an article going over what happened after assassination attempts. Generally the trend isn't too dissimilar to what happened with Trump, only it happened over a longer period of time. In the immediate aftermath of the attempt, there's an elevation in positive sentiment towards the candidate, which then tapers off to where the poll numbers were before the attempt.

Trump's just had it go a lot quicker both due to how polarized things are and how fast media pushes news cycles now.

    For any problems he had, he's a good person and that's enough for me.

    I don't care what he is to them or what they did to him, but for me, Joe Biden is a good man. See you, Space Cowboy.

    And the hair sniffing? Not a red flag?
    How about a few classics from the man himself;
    "Unless we do something about this, my children are going to grow up in a jungle, the jungle being a racial jungle"
    "the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean."
    "You ain't black."

    Besides, why would you make such character judgements about a guy you've only known from mass media? I feel pretty confident in betting that you're not his friends and don't know him personally.

    I can't help but wonder if he really thought Kamala had a chance, or he knew Trump was gonna win and didn't want to be the one suffering the defeat.

    There was a heavy pressure campaign to get him to step down, it didn't matter what he thought

    A lot of people were clamoring for Biden to step down so Harris could run, so he did just that.
    *I* can't help but wonder what the result would've been if people had just let Biden run for a second term.

    These next 4 years are gonna be real interesting.

    I mean, as much as I don't want to parrot Fox News, it is true that despite watching left wing news, I barely know what Kamala's platform is beyond "we'll just stick to Biden's plans". It made it seem less like people vote for her because they like Kamala, but they vote for her because they hate Trump.

    Both sides news seem uninterested in actually building a better future for the country and both just turn the entire election cycle into endless us VS them schoolground squabble. People vote not for their own benefits but to "punish" the enemy. It's your typical sensationalist "angry news get more clicks", than anything of substance, and this is the consequence.

    The simple truth is that over her career, Kamala has drifted to binary opposites as far what she supported, depending on what the temperature of the room was where she wanted to be.

    Ah yes, the "casting the first stone" thing. An excuse when an influencer has been found out doing something terrible, even filmed and posted by themselves, yet they try to wash away the blame putting imaginary worse acts on everyone else. A classical in the book after "you are violenting me and wishing me painful deaths, your acts compare worse than what I've done".
