Keo said: Don't get whats so funny about this. Shanghais just being cute, like usual.
Because Shanghai's action caught both Rinnosuke and Alice off-guard, which was both cute and hilarious. Look at the parent post and tell me that you weren't expecting her to do that.
There's nothing implied going on here, this post is either yuri or nothing, not implied. That said, this type of handholding generally has a romantic "vibe", so tagging it yuri is fine.
Can only think it's the amount of time she has left to die for Yukari to freak out so much
Numbers above one's head (in the context of anime girls) is usually partners, which is probably a good reason for Yukari to panic if one assumes she's the overprotective type.

Good, cuz these guys are being assholes. You don't treat people fighting for you like this, it's stupid in every way.
People treat what they don't understand and fear badly. Even if thinking leads to the conclusion of "you should not be doing that" for several reasons.
They're basically early-game commanders who don't know the capabilities of destroyers and the possibility for "Hero Destroyers". Add to that the similarities between shipgirls and abyssals and that might explain where their treatment is coming from.
That one guy's remarks about the uselessness of destroyers reminds me of the Renegade path for dealing with the Alliance admiral who thinks the Normandy is useless in the first Mass Effect. "Men of limited vision said the same thing about submarines, airplanes, and tanks."

TBF, those weapons were misused initially causing many to lose faith in their potential.

On that note, it's weird seeing Japan of all places not place trust and pride in their destroyers considering both the Post-Washington Treaty Interwar and current day Japanese Naval tradition was built around (at least what they call) Destroyers punching far above their weight
