Explanation behind the voice_actor_connection tag: Both Harumasa and Scaramouche share the same JP VA, Tetsuya Kakihara, and Harumasa is wearing a hat like an umbrella, just like Scaramouche.
I can't quite tell what the second kanji in Kaguya's first speech bubble is, and my Japanese isn't quite good enough to make a proper inference. I've filled in with something that seems to probably fit there and looks like it might be the right kanji, but I'd appreciate a second opinion from someone with better eyes and/or more experience.
On further consideration, actually, I'm pretty confident in this. I still can't make out the kanji properly, but the okurigana doesn't look like it really fits with anything else.
Meanwhile this does look more like Misaka doing her hair like Kuroko. Looks to be a companion to post #8369422 , where it looks like Kuroko doing her hair like Misaka. I don't have an account on the source site, so it's hard to confirm.
Thought the same thing too. I know it's just the art style, but the sharper features and eyes are very Kuroko-coded. (also Misaka's hair isn't parted like that, but Kuroko's is)
Is the eye a reference to the Burrower Below from Fallen London, or the artist's take on the Foam Eyed Queen?
It's the eye seen on the Fire Giant's chest. The Black Flame is derived from the Flame of Ruin worshipped by the Fire Giants. Melina's eye is sealed and since it's a common theory that she is the Gloam Eyed Queen the artist gave her the same eye. Also, since Marika is talking here about nightmares, the Fire incantations used by the Prophets are derived from the Fire Giant's Incantations and their lore is that they received visions of the Erdtree burning down this would be another connection.
I guess those were rejected by Sunday and Silk Racing, as well as Tetsuya Kimura, after they realized they didn't need a dozen Mecha Lemaires to have them ride [insert whatever horse they need Lemaire to ride].
