Seriously. Do NOT get one as an impulse buy. It's not legal to own one in many municipalities, you need a special permit in the ones that allow them, and foxes are not like cats or dogs. They are moody, destructive, and they're escape artists. You need to know what you're doing if you're going to get one.

    So this futuristic thing is a... semi-real vehicle. Aptera is an EV startup producing a three-wheeled aerodynamic car with solar panels embedded on the top of the body. Claims include a range of 1000 miles and its apparently on the path to production after years of development and different failed projects - the thing is odd looking enough that I kinda hope it does hit the streets for real

    A car with solar panels on it sounds like a great idea... until you get a big city or a really long tunnel. Still, you're right, the thing DOES look cool.

    If I recalled on reading about it, the solar panels were more a benefit once you hit the rural areas and couldn't charge it. If you lived in the city, then you'd just plug it in like a normal EV.
