As I recall, the caucus race was meant to help everyone dry off from swimming in Alice's tears, so it's actually a clever bilingual pun. Sadly, the wordplay doesn't translate.

The source provided, https://www.pixiv.net/artworks/24377629, is incorrect. According to saucenao's info lookup, that ID belongs to something completely different. The proper source seems to be https://www.pixiv.net/artworks/124377629. But why remove the 1? That's hard to do by accident.

Seems like the artist made a typo on this page (fifth bubble) but they only uploaded a crop with the fix so I'll just link it here instead.
