I doubt it was oversight. The animations are shared so they probably made a decision that it's not worth the effort (or rather money) for a special animation dedicated to this skin only. Especially since this skin is free.

She does this animation for her bunny suit too, so it's currently odd for 2 out 3 of her costumes.

It's an odd one as she runs the back of the blade across the shield, which I would've thought to be blunt. However it throws off sparks so I guess even a blunt edge is deadly when given to a T-Doll. I've not changed the skin over yet as I enjoy the default look so I've not seen the animation without the shield but I'll log on and give it a whirl.
