Hypnosis is supposed to work on people that already agree to do what you want on the inside but are either too shy or something is holding them back.
Like if a person wants to quit a bad habit and knows they should quit. you could see a hypnotist that will give you the push you need to actually do it. It also acts as an excuse too for people to to deny "I would never clean my room! I only did it cause i got hypnotized!" but on the inside, they knew they should clean their room.

Despite this one being a pair of (misguided) heroes compared to the Future Gohan one, it still makes a great movie poster and gives Gohan an awesome vibe.
