I mean, aside from the non ship posts comments of mine. I remember being murdered with downvotes in actual ship arts here though specifically that Boothill one, which kind of made me wonder about this one not really getting downvote to oblivion nor it's comments(which rarely has any I guess?). Just some curiosity here, thanks for the answer anyway
Cause you've given people a bad taste in your mouth due to your lack of etiquette, you're always going to be downvoted now you made your bed

Okay, I take the ones from my own but I do remember others who just agreed being downvoted too. And that person who just apologized for mistagging a previous post also got downvoted for, no idea? They just apologized
Serious question, why does this ship not get executed here but other straight ships for her gets murdered? Is there something I'm not getting here?
I dont think people have a problem with the coupling/shipping fanart posts of characters (If they do, they'll just downvote it and move along), but when you're commenting specifically on fanart posts of Acheron who is also with another character(s) and posting comments with the same type of content (forcing a ship for no reason) across several pictures. It's going to look like obnoxious spam to others. They also flood the comments page, and frankly nobody wants to see these kinds of repetitive comments for no reason.
Even outside of shipping, the way I see it... Caelus in this particular fanart represents the reaction of veteran HI3 players in the most recent story update.
Spoilers for 2.3: There's a hidden cutscene you could get by selecting the correct dialogue options when you say goodbye to Acheron after paying respects to the late Nameless and Mikhail. It's basically a easter egg/treat for veteran HI3 players, in which we pretty much get further confirmation that she indeed is an alternate self of the Mei we know and love, complete with the "Pendant" OST from HI3. At a certain point in the cutscene, it even feels like Acheron is speaking to the player, the Captain from HI3, rather than the Trailblazer.

It for sure felt like Acheron speaking to HI3 fans, but also for a way to reiterate the themes of Penacony as well as sort of passing the torch, albeit not literally since it's not the same Mei. Tho i do very much think this is ship art lmfao. Though the entire sequence doesn't strike me as particularly romantic. Just Acheron in that wise woman figure she has been in during Penacony and putting our one final lesson (cough) to the TB
