Datsun was sold in Japan as Nissan's truck brand until 1983 and wasn't just a US rebranding of the Japanese make. This version illustrated is the 720 and the last Datsun-branded truck in Japan and the US, as Datsun shifted to Nissan branding by 1984. You can find those vehicles branded as both with "Datsun by Nissan" emblems until Datsun was fully fazed out.
