Absolutely wonderful... So it's the manga. Alpha's like a lighthouse in the coast, watching all the ships arriving and departing. She just can stay there, watching quietly, while she's drinking another coffee. No rushes, with all the time in the world.
The best manga ever drawn. The most touching manga story I've ever read.

It's almost seven years later, but... I agree. It's also my absolute favorite manga of all time.
Yeah, I don't think the artist expected Mortis to be fully earnest with Soyo and say "Help me."
To be fair though, Mortis is herself a very interesting character. She essentially exists as a defense mechanism of Mutsumi and the stress she experiences in her day-to-day life, to the point of tagging in when it hits a breaking point, and Mortis essentially remembering for Mutsumi. Of course, with Ave Mujica disbanded, Mortis's entire reason for being, the purpose of her existence which practically gave her form and a name, is gone. And if she doesn't do something, Mutsumi will be gone too.
Tagging this as an Anf. The Fanton has a fixed gun with a magazine attached closer to the main body, whereas the Anf has a smaller gun on a movable turret attached closer to the monoeye.
