To those who don't know, he's basically a YouTube Guy that did a lot of community posts counting days until Kisaki became playable. The count ended at Day 565.
According to the commentary, the artist drew this after seeing something similar done with the female characters of Dungeon Meshi, with all of the girls here (all of the commanders + Übermensch) having their hairstyle the same as Miho.
The one who looks the most off to me, surprisingly, is Maho. The other's hairstyles are so different from their norm (minus Katyusha, but she pretty much looks the same), that it just falls under the mental category of alternate hairstyle, but Maho's hairstyle was already pretty similar to Miho's, that the tiny change (the inward curled sidelocks in front of the mid-length sidelocks) completely throws me off.
personally Marie looks the most off to me here. I almost didn't recognize her without her curls. You could tell me that that's a completely different character from the manga about Count High and I'd believe you, since I'm so unfamiliar with that series
Sadly because they know sailing ships makes money. And that there are players who wants all the waifus/husbandos for themselves. So they give you a teaser for relationships but don't dive deeper to satisfy people on both ends. H3I use to just straight up go into the relationships but with Genshin and beyond they learned this method.

In gacha games there must always be ambiguity as to who a character is into, so people who prefer that character with the MC/themselves are satisfied too. They are often the money-makers, after all. The only exception I'm aware of is FGO, but that's because that game uses historical figures and as such some canon relationships are inevitable.

You see artwork, artwork is made by artists, unless a great majority of the player base are artists making fanart, your logic wouldn't stand. Two, look at the amount of fanart Jane Doe has then compare it to how much Seth has then compare it to how much they have together. Most of Seth's art is either as a group or with Jane, but most of Jane's art don't have Seth anywhere in them. Meaning Jane herself is more popular than the pairing. At least 3 times as much going by danbooru stats. Final point, not everyone sees the MC as a stand-in for themselves. I did NOT choose Wise as my MC, I chose Belle. Why? Because Belle is cute, not to self-insert. In Genshin, I chose Lumine for the same reason, if I'm gonna stare at the nicely shaped rear end of a character for hours on end it best belong to someone cute. In Star Rail, I choose......Caelus, simply because his coolness beat out Stelle's cuteness (man has a nice tush, no homo just respect). Point being, artwork featuring Wise I see as.....artwork featuring Wise, not "player character" the ones with the blank or no face to me better show as artwork with a self-insert. So yes they will make money if they appease a PART of the community that likes shipping, but that part isn't the whole and you best believe there's more non-shippers than shippers (silent majority thing) who make them far more money keeping the ambiguity. Because I personally didn't even know who Seth was until this specfic fanart and me drawing him in game but you best believe I've known about Jane even before her release.

FGO just doesn't give a damn, if they want to do something they just do it. They keep to canon relationships while also saying "Yeah, but he/she would definitely try to sleep with you if given the chance."

Yeah, you're right about that. I get it. Jane's popularity is stronger than her pairing with Seth, and fan art isn't just about shipping. Most players care more about the characters themselves. Like I said, you're not wrong they would definitely make money going after the ships which is why they tease them a LOT (looking at Bronya x Seele). But they don't ever really go completely into it like they use to do in H3I because it's just more profitable to let the player imagine what could be. Though in Star Rail they did go kinda hard into Caelus x Firefly so who knows, Jane x Seth may very well become a canon couple.

Actually, it feels like it's implying that Victoria Housekeeping (or maybe just Alexandrina herself) were hired by Seth's family at some point, which is why she called him "Young Master" but Seth himself never hired her so he doesn't want her referring to him as "Master".
