Be careful, you might start by giving her a few inches but she will have taken a whole mile by the time morning dawns. Even then she will still be looking for sausage with her eggs for breakfast.

The biggest worry I feel from this, will gramps be able to face Ratel? Be able to fight her off, even if the worst comes to worst put her down?
Well we know he has been dying (or something like that) for a while now, I wouldn't put it beyond him to do a suicide mission or going for a mutual kill in some way.
The fact she seems to have stopped indicates to me she ran up against her limits. Youth and a thirst for vengeance may have made her reckless, leaving her wounded. Going on a rampage like that would surely have taken it's toll.
Maybe not numbered but also having to 'hibernate underground' for most of her life but eventually she'll get out into the world for better or for worse. Her original form did have a happy ending as of its last appearance.
