Of course there needs to be other and superior achievements,objectives,drives,etc. besides School Tests and Grade.

Well...on one hand this one being inserted in "Impeding Doom" is exaggerated to a certain extent but on the other justified by Flandre's about to be using her power in a ... about to-be prank-ish trouble-ish manner... "Impeding Doom(light version)"... P.S.It would be fitter for a new pool,if it is properly started and stocked,along the lines of "Watch out! Incoming!"even if they are unaware or little aware about.

The translator gave a pretty accurate read. It missed out on a little bit, like how she’s actually wondering aloud to herself: “Now which one should I pick today?” No big deal though, the machine translation got the gist.
The main thing missing was the commentary: “Dress-up.” The phrase is specifically used for changing the clothes of another, such as a child, a doll, a lover, etc. (Incidentally, this is the same word used in the title of sono bisque doll.) That filled in for the missing context. Renko’s dialogue wasn’t super specific otherwise.

There's a butterfly on the right side and it's purple, butterflies are symbolical of a person's soul in japanese culture, that and the tag "When you see it" I think Ren is trying to choose clothes for a doll like Merry instead of Merry herself (the butterfly)

I had assumed that the butterfly is there because the outfit it's nearest to is her trojan green asteroid outfit, the album art of which also features such butterflies, including one perched on Merry's right shoulder.
